At Pangea, partnering with families is central to our mission. From the moment your child is born until the time they graduate from high school, there are about 940 weekends. Our goal is to help make the most of those weekends that they live under your care--beginning with the earliest years.
We have programing on Sunday mornings during our church service for children from Babies--Pre-K (Babies & Preschool) and from K--5th grade (Elementary). As they move into middle school (and into other age-appropriate opportunities at Pangea) we hope that they have adopted 3 core virtues:
In order to do this we provide a program that integrates "big group" lessons and activities with "small group" conversations and mentoring. We create a safe and fun space for children to explore God and real life. We never force "religion" down their throats, but focus on how the Bible shows us how to live and love just as Christ lives and loves.
What kids learn at this young age shapes who they become for a lifetime: we take that reality seriously! Not only so, but we are committed to partnering with parents. Resourcing you to have valuable conversations with your child about faith and life is a main priority.
Our Babies & Preschool gathering room is a space of creativity and fun. We have everything to make sure that your small child is safe and nurtured. Our Preschool gathering happens at the same time as our adult service. It is a clean, safe and carefully staffed environment where your children will be well cared for while you enjoy the worship service.
Our elementary room is a space where kids will play ridiculous games, learn about a God of love and how to reflect that love to others, and grow with other kids as mentors guide conversation. Our leaders bring the Bible to life through stories, crafts, and music, in a fun, enriching and caring environment. The kids have a full program during each Worship Gathering.
For those interested in volunteering with children, we take the safety of young ones with the utmost seriousness. The first step is to fill out our mandatory background check (Andrew, our Pastor for Transformation and Administration will help you get set up if you are a fit for this ministry.).
